How Does C TRAC Work?

What makes it so effective?

C TRAC works by producing a stretching or traction force along the Carpal Ligament. Elongating the Ligament.

The device has a C Shaped frame with an Air Bladder inside the frame where the back part of the hand rests. When the device is placed in the hand, and the bladder is inflated, a 3 point force is applied to the hand. One force in the back of the hand and two opposite forces in the front of the hand. The orientation of these forces, and their direction of pull, produce a stretching force along the Carpal Ligament. Understanding that the fibers of the Carpal Ligament go across the hand. The correct way of stretching them is across the hand in order to elongate the ligament.

Stretching these fibers for 5 minutes 3 times a day for 4-6 weeks at the recommeded amount of force elongates the Carpal Ligament and produces an increase in the cross sectional area of the Carpal Tunnel.

The increase in the area of the Tunnel is what takes the pressure off the Median Nerve. Taking the pressure off the nerve is what alleviates the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. That is why surgeons "cut" the Carpal Ligament. They call it a "Carpal Ligament Release". What is attempted with surgery is to "Open the Carpal Tunnel". But, Do you "need" surgery to take the pressure off the median nerve?

C TRAC has proven that cutting the Ligament is not the only way of "releasing" the median nerve.

Decrease of Carpal Tunnel Symptoms can be achieved by stretching the Carpal Ligament.

The amount of force and the length of time used to stretch the Carpal Ligament with C TRAC has been studied and tested in large numbers of patients. This testing produced the current recommedations for stretching force and length of stretching time that produced the results seen in the Clinical Trials.

Instructions on Use

Ctrac is quick and easy to use, just 5 minutes 3 times a day for 4-6 weeks! Just follow the listed instructions and repeat 3 times a day for 4-6 weeks:
Place on hand as shown in the picture above
Inflate for 2 minutes to instructed stretching force
Deflate for 1 minute
Inflate again for 2 minutes

The research proven treatment time is four to six weeks. You may feel relief as quickly as one week or less.  We recommend you continue the treatment for the full six weeks even if you do feel improvement of your symptoms. Once the symptoms are gone, Ctrac can be used on a monthly basis to maintain the stretch of the ligaments.
