Treating Physicians

Day by day, more and more Physicians are recommeding C TRAC for patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The most important issue for the treating physician is safety, the second one, Will it help my patients?

The answer is YES to both questions.

1. The FDA revised the device and the studies and cleared it for sales and distribution in the USA. You can see the registration in the FDA website under hand traction device in the orthopedics section.

2. The studies done and the feedback from patients has shown it is a very safe device. The safety issue is outlined by the fact that the action produced by C TRAC is patient controlled. Also by the fact that the amount of force applied by the device is limited by the size of the air bladder.

3. The effectiveness of C TRAC is evidenced in 2 Clinical trials. One of the trials was done at Saint Vincents Hospital and Medical Center in NYC by Dr Julian Sosner and Drs Humberto and Alejandro Porrata. The second study was done by Workers Compensation in Puerto Rico, also called FSS. Both were done in patients waiting to be operated and both showed a dramatic decrease in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Symptoms. One of the studies is available in this site, the other one will be here soon, it is being translated since it was written in spanish. Please call or email us if you need more information.

3. Physicians that would like to "try" the device, do research with it, or test it. We strongly encourage and welcome research efforts and initiative. We strongly encourage studies comparing effectiveness of this device with any and all current treatments for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. We also encourage studies on cost effectiveness of this device and current therapies. If you would like to conduct a research study we will provide all the support we can.

4. Please contact us at info@carpaldoctors.com. We would like to hear your comments.

5. We reserve the right to acceptance or denial of the research protocol and of publication.
