Carpal Tunnel Pain

Carpal Tunnel Pain can be one of the more debilitating aspects of the condition. It wakes patients up at night. Makes ADLs dificult and is one of the causes of lost work days.

The pain may occur at night and wake patients up at night. This contributes to lost work days and loss of production.

Resting hand splints are used to limit ROM of the hands and limit hand flexion or extension at night. A nightly use of RHS may be combined with the use of C TRAC during the day to increase the area of the Carpal Tunnel and provide relief.

NSIADs have been used to control pain caused by from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The purpose is to decrease inflammation to the structures of the hands and wrist with the use of NSAIDs. There are risks with use of NSAIDs included but not limited to risks of developing stomach ulcers, kidney problems and bruising from the blood thinning effects of NAAIDs. Consult your physician.

Cortizone injections have also been used to control pain from CTS. They help a large number of patients but in many cases the symptoms recur. There are multiple reasons for symptom recurrence. These patients are recommended to proceed with Carpal tunnel Release  or Carpal tunnel Surgery in attempt to decompress and open their Carpal Tunnel.

In Nov 2010 we conducted a survey on patients that used C TRAC . The results were what our research has shown for the past few years.

Three out of every four patients told they needed surgery were able to avoid surgery after using C TRAC. this means C TRAC was able to avoid surgery in 75% of the patients.
